Description
A small Polystichum fern with triangular, lance-shaped, rigid, glossy and leathery fronds with stiff pointed tips and a slight musky scent. Spring growth is golden-hued, maturing to a deep green. Grows in moist soils and prefers alkaline soil. OK in shade or part shade; will grow to 40 cm. Looks a little like Polystichum braunii from a distance.
