Description
Formerly known as Blechnum capense, this is one of the most widely distributed ferns in New Zealand, growing abundantly on clay banks along roadsides and rivers. Long cascading fronds (up to 2 m long and 50 cm wide) emerge bright pink, turning light then dark green as they mature. Will tolerate almost any conditions, though fronds can be much smaller in full sun. New Zealand native.
