Description
Usually found growing from the trunks of trees and tree ferns in the bush. Limp, dull green, hanging fronds reach up to 1 m in length and are quite thick and leathery to touch. Prefers a damp, shady, well-drained situation but works very well as a hanging pot plant provided a fibrous potting mix is used. Watch for slugs, snails and aphids; treat if evident. New Zealand native Asplenium fern.
