Description
A New Zealand native Blechnum fern that is cold hardy, low to the ground, and fast growing. Has a creeping rhizome, will tolerate frost and full sun, and has a nice pinkish touch to new fronds. A great fern around rockeries. Two sub-species exist: the North Island variety is greener with slightly larger fronds; the South Island variety is more purplish, tighter and smaller.
