Description
New fronds are a soft grey-green colour, changing to dark green on maturity. The stipe has a reddish-purple hue giving the appearance of being painted on. Goes dormant in winter and in colder areas is almost totally deciduous. Will develop a short upright trunk over time. Not a New Zealand native. Part of Athyrium family.
